Bach Chat

Last night was the hometown dates. Ben visited the hometowns of Lindzi, Kacie B., Nikki and Courtney.

First... Lindzi
Of course, he arrives to her riding in on a horse. This is becoming cliche. They meet her parents and the two couples have a little horse and buggy race resulting in her parents' winning and as the losers, Ben and Lindzi had to pull her parent's back to their house. Her parent's were lovely and Ben said that his dad was "the salt of the earth" and he feels like Lindzi's parents are the same. Overall, it was a good date.

Kacie B.
She greets him with a marching band and baton twirling. He's impressed and Kacie tells him that the stadium they are standing in was named after her grandfather and she explains her grandparent's love story, it was basically the Notebook love story, no joke. Kacie warned Ben that her dad is a federal probation officer and that her family doesn't drink. Ben the wine maker meeting non-drinkers, he was in a for a treat. Her parents were very guarded and really showed how much they shelter and "baby" Kacie. They didn't want her moving to San Francisco and basically forbade her to move in with him prior to being married. The date was pretty awkward to be honest. Later on, Ben would sent Kacie home at the end of the episode. Her limo ride was a shocker, she cusses and wants to know what is wrong with her. I can't blame her because I saw a lot of myself in her during that moment. It actually broke my heart.

Next was Nikki.
Ben and Nikki went shopping and he got some new cowboy boots and other Texas things. Her parents were really nice but her dad made the comment that he gave her hand too readily the first time. Nikki tells her dad (and later Ben) that she is in love with him.

Last but not least, Courtney.
The whole jist of their date was a mock wedding-- vows, rings, bow tie and all. She showed a softer side to her but I still dislike her.
