If you like to cook, READ THIS.

Hey ya'll, so at chapter tonight we were given information on our new Spring philanthrophy. We've never done this before, and this Spring we decided to put together a cookbook. Each sister will submit atleast two recipes, and the entire book itself should contain around 200 recipes all from Kappas,  and sell them for $10. The proceeds will be divided in half and given to our national philanthropy, Reading is Fundamental or RIF, and to the Kappa Foundation, which is a foundation that gives back to Kappas in need. SOOO, the point in me telling ya'll this is to provide YA'LL an opportunity to help us out and buy one. If any of you are interested, please just shoot me an email and I'll give you my home address and you can mail me a check, or whatnot.

Reading is Fundamental's full purpose is to help motivate young children to read by working with them, their parents, and their community members to make reading fun and a beneficial part of everyday life.

RIF Reading is Fundamental

The Kappa Foundation is a way for Kappa to give back to it's members. The Kappa Foundation provides scholarships for actives, educational and leadership programming, maintains our museum, and as said before, provides help to members. The Kappa Foundation helped one of our Alumni Advisors this past summer when her house burned down in Senoia, Georgia. Kappa's and the Foundation banded together and sent her and her family numerous items to help her, her husband, and her precious little boys get through the summer, and this past Christmas, the Foundation and chapters all over the country also sent them Christmas gifts to help ease the struggling holiday season. After everything Meredith had given to Kappa over the years, it really was nice to see that Kappa could give back to her.

So, once again, if any of ya'll are interested in helping my chapter raise money for RIF and the Kappa Foundation, please feel free to send me an email and we'll go from there. It's gonna be a nifty little cookbook, with tonnnnns of recipes!

XOXO, Michelle
